Signs start at the saw. After each board is cut to size, it moves to the router where a simple slot is created in back for easy hanging. Many of our signs then head to the shaper, where we add a beveled edge that gives the piece depth and a classic look. For a simpler aesthetic, we also make signs with flat edges that offer a modern style.

Our beveled signs are painted on all sides, then sanded along the edges to create a warm, aged look that feels right at home from day one. Other signs feature a painted face with a stained body, allowing the knots and grain of the pine to shine through. This combination of paint and stain gives each sign our signature handcrafted charm.

Every sign is made to order. Once the color is selected, the boards move to our screen printing department, where each design is printed by hand. We never use vinyl appliques, which can peel or crack over time. Instead, our paint becomes part of the wood itself, creating a long lasting, authentic finish.

After printing, each sign is allowed to dry before getting sealed with a light stain that enhances the edges, deepens the grain, and highlights the natural character of knotty pine. This final touch adds warmth, dimension, and a subtle protective layer, ensuring every sign arrives with the rustic charm and handcrafted quality our customers expect.
